“Not documented” means we could not confirm it from Post Planner's own public pages. It does not mean the feature is missing. Where we know a capability is absent, the cell says so.
Checked 2026-08-17 against Post Planner's pricing page. Prices and features change, so confirm before you decide. Tier prices, account counts and the per-day posting caps come from Post Planner's own pricing page. We could not find a public API or MCP server in their own materials, so those cells read as not documented rather than no.
Where planpo.st differs
- Post Planner caps posts per day per account as well as per month. Planpo.st has a monthly quota and no daily ceiling.
- Post Planner's analytics stop at engagement. Planpo.st attributes revenue to individual posts through Stripe, Shopify and RevenueCat.
- Planpo.st ships an MCP server, so Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client can draft, schedule and publish directly. Revenue attribution sits behind the same API, so the agent can ask what a post earned in the same conversation where it scheduled one.
Moving from Post Planner
The questions people actually ask before switching, answered from what ships today.
Can Planpo.st replace Post Planner?
For scheduling, publishing and analytics, yes. Planpo.st posts to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, YouTube and Threads from one calendar, with native formats including threads, reels, shorts and stories. Where Post Planner does something Planpo.st does not, the comparison table above says so rather than glossing over it.
Can I schedule posts in bulk like I do in Post Planner?
Yes. Bulk creation takes up to 50 posts in one request, with shared defaults for campaign, accounts and timezone, and each row succeeds or fails on its own so one bad entry does not sink the batch. There is a calendar with week, month and day views for moving things around afterwards.
Can I post the same content to several accounts at once?
Yes. Account groups let you name a set of accounts, then publish to the whole group at once. Content can be overridden per platform, so the LinkedIn version does not have to read like the X version.
Can I see what a post will look like before it goes out?
Yes. Previews show the body after per-platform overrides, the attachments, the character count against that platform's limit, whether links stay clickable, and any warnings, before you schedule or publish.
Does Planpo.st have approval workflows for clients or teams?
Yes, on the Pro plan, including client approvals. Every API key also carries an approval guardrail, so posts created by an AI agent wait in an inbox for a human rather than going live unattended.
Can an AI agent run my social media through Planpo.st?
Yes. There is an official MCP server, hosted or as an npm package, exposing 45 tools covering drafting, scheduling, video and carousel rendering, approvals, content sources and revenue. Claude, Cursor, Codex, Gemini CLI and ChatGPT are all documented.
Can I find out which posts actually made money, which Post Planner cannot tell me?
Yes, and this is the part no other scheduler does. Every post carries a tracked link, and Stripe, Shopify and RevenueCat connect directly, so revenue and conversions are attributed to the individual post that drove them rather than to the channel as a whole.
Can I import my scheduled posts from Post Planner?
No. There is no importer, so scheduled posts in Post Planner stay there. Reconnecting your accounts and scheduling fresh takes a few minutes, and running both in parallel for a week is the usual way people switch.
Does Post Planner have a free plan?
Yes, a permanent one: 1 social account, 15 scheduled posts and 3 posts a day. Planpo.st has no free plan, only a 7-day trial, so if free forever is the requirement then Post Planner wins that point.
Can I use Post Planner with Claude or another AI agent?
Not from their own documentation. We could not find a public API or an MCP server in Post Planner's materials, so agent access looks unavailable, though we would rather say we could not confirm it than claim it does not exist.
