Message your agent. It schedules the week.

Hermes runs where you already talk: Telegram, Discord, Slack, WhatsApp, Signal, email, plus a desktop app and CLI. Connect planpo.st and your social calendar becomes something you manage by sending a message, which is a strange sentence until you try it once.

It is open source under MIT, from Nous Research, and it speaks MCP. Add our server by local command, enable it, and the tools are available in every channel Hermes lives in.

What Hermes Agent is

Hermes Agent is Nous Research's open-source agent platform. It supports MCP servers over stdio and SSE, ships a reviewed MCP catalog with servers disabled by default, and manages the whole thing from settings or its CLI. The multi-channel design is the distinctive part: the same agent answers in chat apps and on the desktop.

Three things to try on day one

1. Schedule from the couch

(in Telegram) Queue a Threads and LinkedIn post about the article I sent you, Thursday morning.

Hermes drafts both inside each network's limits, wraps the article URL in a tracked link, and create_post books Thursday. The confirmation arrives as a Telegram reply, the posts sit in the planpo.st queue like any others.

2. The weekly digest, delegated

Every Friday, ask me for the week's highlights, then draft next week's posts and send them for approval.

Hermes runs the Friday ritual in chat, turns your answers into drafts, and submit_for_approval routes them. You approve in the dashboard, or ask Hermes what is pending and decide from the same conversation.

3. Revenue by message

(in Discord) What did my posts earn this month?

get_revenue_overview comes back as a chat reply with attributed amounts per post. The answer travels to wherever you asked from, which is the entire charm of this client.

The part the other schedulers skip

Plenty of tools let an agent post. The difference here is what comes back: every link in a scheduled post can be tracked, payments from Stripe, Shopify or RevenueCat are matched to the exact post that caused them, and your agent can read those numbers with the same connection it used to publish. Hermes Agent does not just post for you, it finds out whether the post worked.

How revenue attribution works

Connecting takes a minute

Nous Research's open-source agent, a desktop app and CLI that also runs in Telegram, Discord, Slack, WhatsApp, Signal and email. Grab an API key from Settings, add the server with the local command and the tools appear. The full config, with the sharp edges called out, is on the setup page.

Questions people ask

How does the connection work?
Add an MCP server in Hermes by local command: npx -y planpost-mcp with your API key in the environment. Hermes disables new servers by default, so flip it on after adding. The setup page has the exact values.
Can I use the hosted endpoint instead?
Hermes documents SSE for remote servers, and our hosted endpoint speaks streamable HTTP, which is the newer transport. Test the URL route against your Hermes version before relying on it; the local command works regardless.
Is it safe to drive posting from a chat app?
Treat the chat as the drafting room, not the publish button. Keep Hermes on drafts or approvals and a mistyped Telegram message produces a bad draft, nothing worse.
Why Hermes over the other clients here?
If your day happens in a terminal, use Claude Code or Codex. Hermes fits when you want the agent reachable from your pocket, in the apps you already have open, with the same planpo.st tools behind it.
